<div>My name is Dr. Laurel Mehler. I am a pediatrician in the Goleta
area and am looking to fill internship positions vacated by graduating
seniors in my office. Most of the students have been pre-med or
interested in allied health professions., and some have eventually been
hired for full- or part-time employment. </div>

<div>The position requires a commitment to two 3-hour shifts per week.
It involves front office secretarial type work (filing, copying,
scheduling, preparing patient charts for visits) as well as back-office
patient contact and minor laboratory procedures. In the past, some
students have been trained to draw up/prepare vaccinations. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>The usual shifts available are: Monday-Friday ~8:45- ~12:15;
Monday- Thursday ~1:45-5:15pm. I am looking for mature, confident
juniors with GPA of 3.5 or better, who are able to quickly assimilate
new information, extrapolate from it, multitask, and have professional
demeanor. Applicants must be reliable and understand and honor their
commitment to the position. I have a dress code that allows for scrubs
or business casual dress, but absolutely no blue jeans or visible
tatoos. The office is located next to the Goleta Valley Cottage
Hospital, just off of Highway 217. </div>
