Reality Lab

<b style="">When: </b>Starting in the Summer of ‘07
and continuing for at least 2 quarters. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b style="">Description:<br>
</b>This position is suited for students interested in obtaining 99 or
199 research
credit in the Loomis Virtual Reality Laboratory for two or more
quarters. A
paid position may also be available for longer time commitments. <br>
<br>
You will be working on several research projects investigating
navigation,
virtual reality and spatial learning from different senses (vision,
touch, 3D
sound and language). As you will be actively involved in all levels
of the research process, this is an excellent opportunity for people
wishing to
gain experience in an internationally recognized research laboratory
while preparing
for graduate school.<br>

<b style="">Duties:<br>
</b>Recruiting subjects and running experiments<b style="">, </b>literature
and web searches, scoring and organizing data, helping
to prepare manuscripts for publication, etc. <br>
<br>
<b style="">Additional Requirements:<br>
</b>Must be organized, responsible, highly motivated and willing to
take
initiative. Proficiency with computers is necessary, including the
ability to
learn and run specialized experimental software. a basic knowledge of
statistics (and statistical software) and an understanding of research
methods
