Are you looking for an opportunity to gain valuable lab skills and
experiences?

The Partnership for Interdisciplinary Studies of Coastal Oceans(PISCO)
Lab is looking for 5 candidates to work on several different projects
over the course of the summer sessions and into the fall quarters of
2008. The PISCO Lab in the MSR Building conducts a variety of
intertidal/subtidal lab work and intertidal field work mostly looking
at the recruitment of marine invertebrates in the Santa Barbara
Channel and Islands. We have a great working atmosphere and interns
frequently 'rub elbows' with graduate students and postdoctoral
researchers. You can also expect to learn how to identify a variety
of marine organisms, use dissecting microscopes, and basic intertidal
field work protocols and techniques that are the foundation of our
work.

-These are volunteer positions only. Research Units Available.
<br>
-No lab experience necessary.
<br>
-Background or major in environmental/ecological/biological sciences
is preferred.
<br>
-A minimum commitment of 8 hours a week until Fall.
