<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span
style="font-size: 12pt;">We are looking for a self-motivated student
to take the lead on our new
Mercury Thermometer Exchange Program. This program aims to replace 300
mercury
Thermometers with non-toxic spirit thermometers by the end of the
school year
in order to avoid costly spills that may harm humans and the
environment.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span
style="font-size: 12pt;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span
style="font-size: 12pt;">The student intern would interact with
faculty and researchers,
explaining the advantages of switching away from toxic mercury
thermometers,
promote the exchange program, safely exchange unbroken mercury
thermometers
with spirit thermometers, and track where replacements have been made.
The intern needs to have a solid respect for high quality research and
ability
to balance the pros and cons of making a change in experimental
equipment. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
