About the study:
<blockquote>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""></span>Serpentine
endemic plant species are those species will >85% of their
occurrences on
serpentine soil.<span style=""> </span>I am testing the
hypotheses that serpentine endemics are restricted to serpentine soil
because
of competition from non-endemic species and that this restriction
varies with
climate, such that the degree of restriction is less is drier climates
and more
in mesic climates.<span style=""> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Field assistant duties:</p>
<blockquote>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""></span>The field
assistant will maintain 60 30 cm x 30 cm plots once per month.<span
style=""> </span>Maintenance includes: clipping aboveground
plant biomass and replacing lost/damaged plot markers.<span style=""> </span></p>
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
<p class="MsoNormal">Time commitment: 4-5 hours once a month for at
least one
quarter.<span style=""> </span>Ideally, the candidate would be
available for the entire academic year.</p>

<pre>This will start as a volunteer position with the possibility of turning into research credit for eligible students who continue past fall<span
