<span lang="en-us">The Orientation office is currently in the process
of recruiting students for Summer Orientation Staff 2007. Students
accepted into the program are trained to do academic advising, workshop
facilitation, tour giving, and to be knowledgeable representatives of
UCSB during summer orientation.. This is a paid position. If
interested, you can download an application, due January 31<sup>st</sup>,
from the Orientation office website: </span><a

<p align="left"><span lang="en-us">Through this program, you have the
opportunity to gain skills in public speaking, time
management, team work, peer counseling, workshop facilitation, and
information organization and dissemination. </span><span lang="en-us">These
are the kinds of skills that will apply to all types of careers and the
training serves as good preparation many of the on-campus student
advising positions available in other departments around campus during
the regular school year. <br>
