[Biology-U-L] New: Statistics course designed for Life Sciences

Beginning Fall 2008, the Statistics Department is introducing a new course, PSTAT 5LS, 
specially designed to give students who are majoring in Life Sciences a 
more effective educational experience.  

PSTAT 5LS is a five unit class and will include two one hour sections 
per week. A one hour computer lab section where students will work on 
statistical problems using excel (the lab for 5A does not include 
excel), and a one hour classroom section where students will practice 
basic techniques.  

Note:  Students who elect to take this course instead of the traditional Pstat 5A
or EEMB 30 courses may do so without the need for filing a petition.
