CCBER is excited to announce the topic for our Monday night Restoration 
Ecology Seminar Series

EEMB 188/288 Spring 2008 Seminar Topic:

Using Natural History Collections of plants and animals for Research and 
Conservation.

EEMB 188/288 will introduce students to the unique interplay of 
scientific collections and Ecological Restoration. Lectures, 
discussions, and projects will explore the origins, philosophy, methods, 
and research conducted using scientific collections. Students will get 
hands on experience using UCSB’s collections of plants and animals for 
small projects throughout the quarter. The seminar is held on Monday 
evenings 6-7pm starting on 31 March 2008.
