The Santa Barbara Coastal LTER reef group is looking for responsible
undergraduates interested in getting marine research experience. Studies
focus on monitoring Giant Kelp production,/ /growth and survivorship
along the Southern California Bite in response to coastal runoff. Duties
will be based on experience level, and may include sample processing,
data entry, sample collection, and potentially conducting kelp surveys
using SCUBA. Paid positions will be available after initial training and 2-3 paid
internships are available every summer to dedicated interns. I’ve
attached an application that can be returned to 3003 on the 3L floor of
the Marine Science Research Building. Please see our website for more
information about the project at:

Thanks,
Shannon
