Unhappy with recent midterm grades and looking for help turning the 
quarter around?  There's still time to get help if you seek it now.

The first place to ask for help is from the Instructor and the TA for 
the course.  They know more about the course than anyone else and can 
review past exams with you to help you understand where you made 
errors.  They may even be able to suggest  how to focus your efforts for 
the next exam. Make and appointment to meet with them right away as the 
more time you give it the better the results will be.

In addition, other campus resources are available.  Here are links to 
the two offices that offer help with the most common problems:

Campus Learning Assistance Services (CLAS) helps students increase their 
mastery of course material through course-specific tutoring and academic 
skills development. CLAS provides group tutoring in

    * Lower-division math, science, and engineering courses
    * First-year foreign language courses
    * Many social sciences and humanities courses.

CLAS also offers workshops throughout the year on

    * Note taking
    * Time management
    * Effective reading
    * Exam preparation

You can also find assistance with writing assignments or projects in the 
CLAS Writing Laboratory
