*Neuroscience Research Position!*


**

Celavie Biosciences is currently seeking a research assistant who will 
Report to the Chief Research Officer and research associates and Act as 
His/Her assistant in daily laboratory tasks as well as conducting 
experiments related to neurodegenerative diseases and potential treatments.

*Responsibilities will include:*

·         Stem cell culture and processing

·         Slicing and Immunohistochemical/ Immunofluorescent analysis of 
different tissues

·         Tissue fixation by perfusion

·         Statistical analysis and data entry

·         Animal handling and participation in surgery and behavioral 
testing

·         Maintaining laboratory notebooks and inventory logs

·         Advanced light microscopy

·         Mixing Reagents, cleaning glassware, aliquoting antibodies, 
preparing and sterilizing pipettes

·         In depth literature searches and creating electronic archives

*EDUCATION, Experience, and skill requirements:***

·         Bachelor's degree in biology or related discipline

·         Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint

·         At least 6 months experience working in a research or biotech 
setting

·         Data management and analysis skills

·         Must be able to effectively communicate with supervisors and 
have good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work in 
a team environment with researchers and principal investigators

·         Must be able to work full time, flexible hours with occasional 
weekend and holiday rotations

·         Lifting 25 to 50 pounds

·         A thorough understanding of regulatory/compliance issues 
related to product quality, manufacturing, and cell processing facilities

·         Familiarity with literature searches and writing scientific papers

·         Animal Handling, immunochemistry, and microscopy experience,  
a plus

·         Knowledge of stem cell terminology, a plus
