*IAESTE **United States** Membership:*
We are proud to welcome the arrival of a brand new membership year in
IAESTE United States! This year marks the first year we will offer a
second membership option: At-large Member. As an At-large member,
students who attend four year universities without Local Committee
representation will gain the same benefits as a Local Committee member,
such as:
* Access to IAESTE United States international programs
* Invitations to our global leadership conference and other events
* Networking opportunities
* Discounts on travel resources
Membership also gives students access to a network of technical students
and professionals, paid internships abroad, and short term programs that
help gain intensive international experiences in their chosen field of
study. To become an IAESTE United States member, click here

and graduate students pursuing a degree in science, engineering,
mathematics, architecture, computer science, or other technical fields.
Non-U.S. citizens studying at American universities are also encouraged
to apply. The majority of internships are 8 to 12 weeks during the
summer, but longer placements of up to one year may also be available.
Language skills are not required, but are preferred. Please refer all
students to apply online at _www.iaesteunitedstates.org

*IAESTE United States National Conference:*
The IAESTE United States National Conference (February 7-10, 2008)
brings together students from the country's top science and engineering
universities, as well as professional members from many technical
disciplines. The 10th annual IAESTE United States National
Conference's theme, //The "I" Factor: Make It Work for You//, focuses on
the many qualities, experiences, and skills necessary for a successful
global technical professional -- many happen to be 'i' words, such as:
international, ingenuity, interdependence, intelligence, ideas,
innovation, and, of course, IAESTE. Attendees take part in educational
sessions and workshops designed to promote leadership, cross cultural
understanding and technical career development. Topics for workshops
include leadership in a global context, international opportunities for
students and professionals, volunteerism, and much more. Register today
at _www.iaestenatlconf.org <http://www.iaestenatlconf.org>_.
