Do you have students interested in pursuing a challenging doctoral or
masters degree program in the biomedical sciences after graduation? If
so, they should consider one of the excellent programs available in the
Roswell Park Graduate Division of the University at Buffalo, State
University of New York at Buffalo. I would appreciate it if you would
forward this information to your students.

was the first and still is one of the leading cancer centers in the
country, with a faculty and staff of 2,200 and a 25-acre campus of
modern facilities near downtown Buffalo. Your students who enter the
Roswell Park Graduate Division will benefit from an intensive research
immersion and a faculty with a singular focus on cancer. This also
affords students true multidisciplinary and translational research
opportunities. The University at Buffalo is the largest and most
comprehensive institution in the New York State system, and the premier
public center for graduate and professional education.

The Roswell Park Graduate Division enrolls 180 students, and more than
150 of Roswell Park's senior staff hold professorial titles at the
University. Students may select any of our faculty as mentors. Students
are recruited from across the United States and worldwide, and alumni
hail from two dozen countries and nearly every state in the union.
Students in the Roswell Park Division are also students at the
University and their degrees are granted by the State University of New
York.

The Roswell Park Graduate Division offers doctoral programs in Cancer
Pathology & Prevention, Cellular & Molecular Biology, Immunology,
Molecular & Cellular Biophysics & Biochemistry, and Molecular
Pharmacology & Cancer Therapeutics. In addition, students can pursue an
Interdisciplinary Master of Science Program tailored to meet their
interests and strengths in biophysics, epidemiology, cellular and
molecular biology, chemoprevention, pathology, genetics, immunology,
pharmacology, physiology, or structural biology.

Courses are scheduled at one of the two nearby campuses of the
University or at Roswell Park, and research is done in the excellent
facilities at Roswell Park, under the mentorship of leading scientists
and academic physicians.

It's said that the success of the alumni is one measure of the quality
of a program. If that is the case, the program available in the Roswell
Park Graduate Division is a quality one, with PhD alumni entering the
top USA and international postdoctoral programs, and more than 50
percent of master graduates having gone on to earn medical degrees.
Other MS graduates have entered PhD programs, the scientific workforce
or the teaching profession. Still others have earned MBA or legal degrees.
