Habitat Restoration Internships--Coal Oil Point Reserve:
	Coal Oil Point Reserve has several habitat restoration internships for Spring
Quarter 2007.  Interns will work with a habitat restoration ecologist, the
Reserve steward, other interns and volunteers assisting with planting, plant
maintenance, invasive weed control, plant propagation, and seed collection. 
Requires 30 hour commitment, generally 3 hours/week with occasional week-end
time.  Applicant must have one morning each week free, likely Tuesday or Friday
from 9am-12noon.  $250 stipend on successful completion.  Most positions are
funded by Wildlife Conservation Board and Shoreline Preservation Fund, open to
UCSB students only; Work/Study eligible. One position is open to those who are
not UCSB students.  Please apply now or by first week of classes spring

Habitat Restoration Internships--Arroyo Hondo Preserve:
	The Land Trust for Santa Barbara County has 3 internships available at the
Arroyo Hondo Preserve for Spring Quarter 2007.  Work with habitat restoration
ecologist, the Restoration assistant, other interns and volunteers.  Assist
with restoration of a creek corridor to protect steelhead trout, red-legged
frogs, riparian birds--planting, plant maintenance, invasive weed control,
plant propagation and seed collection.  Requires 30 hour commitment, generally
3 hours/week with first Sunday/month with volunteers.  Need one morning each
week free, likely Wednesday morning; Monday possible.  Stipend $250 on
successful completion.  Please apply now or by first week of the quarter, send

week of classes or Sunday, April 8. Internships funded by Shoreline
