>Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park is seeking volunteers to monitor and 
>protect endangered hawksbill sea turtles on the island of Hawai'i
>
>When:  May to December
>
>Where:  Remote beaches around the island
>
>Duties:  Camp 4-6 nights per week, monitor nesting activities, handle and 
>tag turtles, rescue stranded hatchlings, excavate nests, record field 
>data, and remove non-native predators (mongoose, rats and feral cats)
>
>Requirements:  Be at least 18 years of age , possess a valid U.S. driver's 
>license, be able to hike 7-12 miles with a 30+lb. backpack, be capable of 
>working late in to the night, have an upbeat positive attitude, and a love 
>for the outdoors.
>
>Commitment of at least 10 weeks are preferred.  Dorm style housing and a 
>food stipend are provided.
