_*Habitat Restoration Internships--Coal Oil Point Reserve:*_

            Santa Barbara Audubon has four internships at the Coal Oil Point
Reserve for Winter Quarter 2007.  Work with habitat restoration ecologist,
the Reserve steward, other interns and volunteers.  Assist with planting,
plant maintenance, invasive weed control, plant propagation, and seed
collection.  Requires 30 hour commitment, generally 3 hours/week with
occasional week-end time. Need one morning each week free, likely Friday;
Tuesday possible.  Stipend $250 on successful completion; Work/Study
eligible.  Please apply now or by first week of class, send resume and class
schedule/time availability for Winter quarter.  Start first week of classes
if possible. Funded by Shoreline Preservation Fund; available to UCSB

_*Habitat Restoration Internships--Arroyo Hondo Preserve:

*_            The Land Trust for Santa Barbara County has 4 internships
available at the Arroyo Hondo Preserve for Winter Quarter 2007. Work with
habitat restoration ecologist, the Restoration assistant, other interns and
volunteers. Assist with restoration of a creek corridor to protect steelhead
trout, red-legged frogs, riparian birds--planting, plant maintenance,
invasive weed control, and seed collection. Requires 30 hour commitment,
generally 3 hours/week with first Sunday/month with volunteers.  Need one
morning each week free, likely Wednesday 9-noon or 8:30-11:30; Monday
possible.  Stipend $250 on successful completion; Work/Study eligible.

schedule/time availability for Winter 2007.  May begin Sunday, January 7 or
first week of classes. Three internships funded by Shoreline Preservation
Fund and available to UCSB students only; SBCC or community members may
