Greetings,
My name is Cameron Malone and I am a 4th year student here at UCSB.
Last summer I got involved in Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times.
For those of you who don't know CRMfGT is a camp for children who have
or had cancer and their siblings. It's a safe place where they can go
fun and just be kids, and forget about all their troubles at home. It
really is a great time for all involved. I've already been to 3 camps
and I'm going back for another this weekend. The reason I am telling
you about this is that the Camp staff are coming here to UCSB to hold
interviews for counselor positions during the summer on _*May 9th*_.
There are 6 different summer camps throughout the summer and two kinds
of counselors. You can be an activity counselor, or a cabin
counselor. There are pros and cons to each, the activity counselor
gets to see all the kids at the camp at one point during the week, but
doesn't get to know them too well. The cabin counselor, on the other
hand, gets to know around 10 of the campers really well throughout the
week. Camp is an awesome experience and I totally recommend it. So
if you are at all interested come out on _*May 9th at 7PM*_ to the CAB
office to interview. If you have any questions about camp or the
interview process feel free to e-mail me (c_malone at umail.ucsb.edu) and
I'd be happy to answer any of your questions. You can also check out
the website at www.campronaldmcdonald.org. Thanks for your time and
have a great day!
