The City of San Diego is accepting applications for a Marine Biologist 
position with our lab (see attached). If you wouldn't mind spreading the 
news around your facility, we'd appreciate it.
 
The attached job announcement is posted on the City's web page( 
http://www.sandiego.gov/, see City Employment). Although the 
announcement advertises only one opening in the Ocean Operations 
section, 3 positions will be opening in the next few months: one in 
Ocean Operations, one in Taxonomy, and one in the IT-GIS work group. 
Additionally, other positions are likely to open over the next 12 months 
due to retirements.
 
The applicant pool will be used for openings that occur over the next 
two years. Consequently, if you know of anyone looking for a job/career 
in Marine Biology, whether their interest be field work, data analysis, 
or taxonomy/ecology, we may have something to offer him/her over the 
course of the next year or so.
