The Wildlands Studies Program offers a series of environmental and 
cultural ecology field studies that we invite you to join.  This 
winter/spring you can choose among 8 wildlife, wildland and cultural 
ecology field studies searching for solutions to environmental and 
cultural challenges.  Each program grants 15 upper division units credit 
(EEMB, MCDB and Bio Sci majors see note below). 

Field studies take place in wildland locations throughout *Hawaii, 
Mexico, Thailand, Chile, New Zealand, China, Costa Rica and Utah's 
Canyonland country.*  Most are now accepting applications. All of our

*****_*Note*_:  These are *Environmental Studies* courses that provide 
students with a great many experiences that might add volumes to a 
resume.  However, they have not been pre-approved for use toward any of 
the requirements for the Bio Sci, EEMB or MCDB majors at UCSB.
