Dear Health Professions Association members,

Welcome to the 2006-2007 school year at UCSB. My name is Sam Galle and I
am your HPA president. This year, we plan on having amazing speakers from
professions all over Santa Barbara County in a variety of different
fields. We also plan on having the HPA conference to bring those fields
together in one day for you, the UCSB students. Suffice it say, I am
personally excited about this year as I feel it is going to be one of the
best.
Coming up on Monday October 9th at 7pm, the Adventures in Caring (AiC)
program will giving a presentation on their great volunteer opportunity.
AiC gives students a unique perspective on medicine as it puts students in
with the patients who need it the most and it changes lives. So come and
hear all about the openings with Adventures in Caring and snack on free
pizza while you do it.
On a final note, remember that this program is one hundred percent for
the members of the HPA. At any time, please feel free to get in contact
with myself or any of the other board members to let us know what you
would like to see or hear more of as we are happy to find those speakers.
We will also keep you updated on the best internships, volunteer
positions, etc. so that you have the best possible chance to pursue your
dreams of a career as a healthcare professional.

Sam Galle
Health Professions Association President.
