Answers
1. Who can use the Life Sciences Computing Facility?
You may use the LSCF if you are one of the following:
- An undergraduate student enrolled in a Biology or Psychology class that requires you to use this facility
- A grad student of Biological Sciences or Psychology
- Faculty or Staff of Biological Sciences or Psychology
2. How do I sign-off of all the mailing lists on Mentor?
Click Unsubscribe from any of the mailing lists.
3. How do I get a sticker so that I can use the lab?
Undergrads must show proof of enrollment in their class that uses this lab to receive a sticker (ie. printed schedule from Registrar or class syllabus). Your instructor may distribute stickers to you. If not, e-mail:computer-support@mentor.lscf.ucsb.edu to request a sticker.
Graduate students, Faculty, and Staff do not need a sticker to use the facility but should have a Lifesci or Psychology Email account.
Door codes are no longer assigned to Graduate students and Faculty and non-IT staff.
4. Can I use the lab at the same time there is a lecture in the lab?
Yes. The drop-in room is available during normal business hours regardless whether classes are in session in the teaching labs.
5. How do I sign my class up for a lecture in the lab?
Please send e-mail to: (computer-support@mentor.lscf.ucsb.edu).
6. How do I get class accounts on Mentor?
If you need accounts set up on Mentor for your class, please send e-mail: computer-support@mentor.lscf.ucsb.edu
